Several McDaniel College students participated in internships during the college’s January Term.

Art major Kaylen Buschhorn interned as a Social Media Publisher at the NCAA College Football Playoff Championship game during Jan Term.

Several McDaniel College students participated in internships during the college’s January Term.

Known as Jan Term, this three-week session allows students to explore new areas and expand their intellectual horizons with specially designed courses, as well as internships and independent study opportunities.

Olivia Jefferson Business Administration and Philosophy major internship

Olivia Jefferson learned more about small business operations during her Jan Term internship.

Select students included:

  • Kaylen Buschhorn, an Art major from Austin, Texas, interned with the NCAA College Football Playoff Championship game in Indianapolis as a Social Media Publisher.
  • Megan Cappadora, a Biology major from Manchester, Md., interned with Eastern Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician.
  • Newt Davis, a Business Administration major from Laurel, Md., interned with Withum Smith and Brown as an Audit intern.
  • Alexander Hartwick, a triple major in Business Administration, Accounting Economics, and Marketing from Middletown, Del., interned with CliftonLarsonAllen as an Audit intern.
  • Lauren Helbig, a Political Science major from Oakland, Md., interned as a Restorative Justice Teaching Assistant and intern.
  • Kaitlyn Holstein, a Social Work major from Mount Airy, Md., interned with Gettysburg WellSpan Hospital in the Crisis Intervention Department.
  • Sara Hottle, a Criminal Justice major from Sykesville, Md., interned with the Maryland State Police, Frederick barrack.
  • Olivia Jefferson, a Business Administration and Philosophy major from Hagerstown, Md., interned with Pura Vida Coffee in Hagerstown, Md.
  • Anthony Razze, an Accounting Economics and Business Administration major from Pitman, N.J., interned with BDO USA LLP as an Audit intern.
  • Abigail Renzulli, a student-designed major in Scientific Study of Speech and Language from Street, Md., interned with Winfield Elementary School in Carroll County, Md.
  • Brennan Rouse, an Accounting Economics and Business Administration major from Titusville, N.J., interned with CliftonLarsonAllen as an Audit intern.
  • AubreyAnna Smith, a Social Work major, from Woodbine, Md., interned with Carroll Lutheran Village as a social work intern for the health care center along with residential living.
  • Amber Walker, a Social Work major from Westminster, Md., was a social work/activities intern at Long View Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
