#GreenTerror4Life Your journey doesn't end when you leave the Hill. It starts here and stays with you for life.

There is no more impactful way to give back to McDaniel College than to participate on the Alumni Council, the leadership body of McDaniel's Alumni Association.

The Alumni Association's Officers comprise the Alumni Council, which provides opportunities for enthusiastic alumni to become more engaged with the College and serve its needs.

"I love that McDaniel has some of the top minds in political science. It didn’t really matter to me what the specific class was if, for example, Dr. Boukhars was teaching it, because I knew I was learning from the best."

  • Dominic Byerly ’20, M.S. ’22

"The nice thing about the McDaniel Commitment is you get to take classes that get you out of your comfort zone. That gave me the freedom to explore what I wanted to do without feeling like I was forced down a certain path."

“It’s not just forestry and green spaces; it’s plants and people and culture. I’m even remembering my first year seminar class with Dr. Linda Semu, which was about race. Over the past year or two, we have been focusing our efforts on equity and environmental justice."

“Something that I really took away from McDaniel was that environmental education is so important. And if people don’t know about an environmental issue, how can they care about it?"
  • Senator Ron Young

“College is the beginning of a lifelong learning experience. It is the key that, if used properly, opens a world of learning and experiences.”
