McDaniel faculty recognized with awards
To kick off the 2025-26 academic year, various awards were presented to McDaniel College faculty members during the opening faculty meeting.

President Julia Jasken presents the Faculty Scholarly Publications Award to Associate Professor of Biology Holly Martinson, Assistant Professor of Kinesiology Diane Williams, and French Professor Martine Motard-Noar.

Faculty Scholarly Publications Award
The Scholarly Publication Award is presented to full- or part-time members of the faculty, active or emeriti, who publish five or more articles in recognized publications over a three year period.

- Diane Williams, assistant professor of Kinesiology
Faculty Creativity Awards
Faculty Creativity Awards are presented to full- or part-time members of the faculty, active or emeriti, typically in an area of the fine or performing arts, who receive unusual recognition.
- James Bigwood, senior adjunct lecturer in Communication and Cinema
- Linda M. Kirkpatrick, senior lecturer in Music
- Robert Lemieux, associate professor of Communication
- Steven Pearson, professor of Art and the Joan Develin Coley Chair in Creative Expression and the Arts
Faculty Grant Award
The Faculty Grant Award is presented to faculty who have proposed and received $10k or more in grants from external sources in the past year.
- Heather A. Gable, associate professor of Nursing
Special Achievement Award
The Special Achievement Award is presented to any member of the college community who reflects unusually high credit upon the college through voluntary service of an exceptional and substantial nature.
