Transfer Students

Graduate and Professional Studies welcomes graduate students transferring from other institutions.

Students wishing to transfer to McDaniel will need to go through the full admissions process, including all general and program specific requirements.  Additionally, we recommend that you speak with a graduate admissions representative and an advisor for your program of interest to help guide you through the transfer process.

Qualified applicants looking to transfer graduate work from another program may request to do so up to six graduate credits. An evaluation of your official graduate transcripts is used to determine coursework that may be applied to your McDaniel program. Graduate coursework is subject to expiration timetables so we recommend you contact Graduate Admissions for a consultation before starting the transfer process.

Transfer students will need to submit copies of both their official undergraduate and graduate transcripts to be considered for admission.

International Student Transfer

International students on an F-1 or other relevant visa wishing to transfer to McDaniel should consult with the graduate admissions office before beginning the transfer process.  In addition to completing the general and program specific admissions requirements, international students must also go through a visa/I-20 transfer process.  A visa transfer form will need to be completed by both the student and a Designated School Official (DSO) at their current institution.
