Personal Financial Literacy is the ability to understand and analyze your finances and your financial opportunities. It enables you to make more informed decisions and choices. We want our students to be financially literate when they step into the world of higher education; including understanding financial aid, loans, debt, rising costs and managing a budget.
The Financial Aid Office recommends using the following resources:
- MyMoney.gov – The U.S. government's site for financial education
- HomeMoneyHelp.com – site offers simple ways to save money on day-to-day living
- NFCC.org – site provides information on setting up debt repayment plans
- BankRate.com – site has rate information for credits cards, mortgages, and explains how to manage credit
